Demos
The Demo Track provides a venue for sharing hands-on experiences and to foster discussion of innovative interactive technologies and approaches. We welcome prototypes, devices, systems or games related to all areas of interest for the TIE conference. Demo papers should describe the technology that will be showcased as well as the reasoning behind it.
Length
Demo papers should not exceed 6 pages in length including references in the Springer LNICST format.
Selection Process
Submissions to the Demo Track will be evaluated and selected based on their originality, significance, and on their relevance to the areas of interest for TEI.
Accepted Demos will be showcased in a venue that is open to the conference participants. Authors will need to be available for installation, and for facilitating interaction with their work at scheduled times during the conference.
Submission
Submissions to the Demo Track are not anonymous, they should include name and affiliation of the authors. In addition, submissions must include additional information describing the technical and logistical requirements for exhibiting the work. Please note that demos should be self-supporting as the organizers will only be able to provide space, electricity and an internet connection.
Papers must be submitted electronically (.pdf) via the Confy system. Please note that the maximum size of the PDF should not exceed 20 Mb. We encourage the submission of supporting videos. Authors may either upload a video via the Confy system, or provide a link in the paper (just before the References) to a video hosted by Vimeo or YouTube. In case the video is password protected, please include the password with the link. Please note that the maximum size for submitted files is 200 Mb. In the event that your submission exceeds this limit, please contact the Demo Track chairs to make alternative arrangements.
Conference Proceedings
All registered papers will be published by Springerand made available through the SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world’s largest scientific libraries.
Attendance
At least one author of accepted Demos must register and present the demo at the conference venue. Specific requirements will be arranged with presenters of accepted demos, however, demos should be self-supporting as the organizers will only be able to provide space, electricity and an internet connection.
